Building the next generation of Scarborough changemakers.

A safe and welcoming space where young people can explore entrepreneurship, develop meaningful ideas, and strengthen youth-led businesses.

01

Our Mission

Empower ideas with knowledge and confidence.

Changemakers Lab’s mission is to empower Scarborough youth with the knowledge, confidence, and practical skills needed to turn their interests, talents, and ideas into meaningful projects and businesses. The program helps youth explore entrepreneurship and take their first steps toward achieving their goals while strengthening existing youth-led businesses. Through a safe and welcoming space, it provides mentorship, collaboration opportunities, and practical lessons in entrepreneurship and business development.

02

Our Vision

A connected community of creative young leaders.

We envision a Scarborough where all youth have access to the mentorship, resources, support, and community connections needed to succeed in entrepreneurship. By providing practical learning, collaboration, and ongoing support, Changemakers Lab helps young entrepreneurs build skills, overcome challenges, expand ideas, and create sustainable businesses—while encouraging beginners to become innovative leaders and positive changemakers.

03

Our Purpose

Make entrepreneurship accessible and practical.

Changemakers Lab exists to make entrepreneurship more accessible, practical, and supportive for Scarborough youth at every stage. Youth can explore their interests, develop ideas, and gain the confidence to begin. Existing entrepreneurs receive mentorship, collaboration opportunities, workshops, and guidance to overcome challenges, strengthen their skills, and grow sustainable ventures.

About the founder

Created by a youth leader, for Scarborough youth.

Luckshika Ravinthiran is a Toronto Metropolitan University student and youth community leader with experience in event planning, marketing, social media, research, and youth engagement. Changemakers Lab began with her desire to support existing youth-led businesses through mentorship, practical guidance, collaboration, and a safe space to grow.
